About

Free : Yes

The Dhuis Promenade leads you along a 27 km greenway. Situated on a hillside, it offers an alternation of pleasant and diverse landscapes. The aqueduct crosses 4 communes of Marne et Gondoire.

Built during the Second Empire (Napoleon III) to supply Paris with drinking water, it is now used to supply water to Disneyland Paris and the eastern Paris region. It starts at Pargny-la-Dhuys in the Aisne department. It crosses 21 valleys with depths ranging from 20 to 73 m, and runs 132 km through the south of the Aisne, Seine-et-Marne and Seine-Saint-Denis departments before ending up in Paris, at the Ménilmontant reservoir.
